Long Weekend at Mogumber : Gymkhana/ Camp Cooking/Social/Show’n’Tell Sat 31st May – 2nd June

General Info:

 

 A relaxing, social and fun Long Weekend. There will be a big campfire (conditions permitting), with campfire cooking, show and tells, and Sunday there will be fun gymkhana style events to test your driving skills and have a laugh with. Come on down out to the farm for the weekend, or just the day. Our spot in Mogumber is an area on a working farm, about 1 1/2 hrs north of Perth, where our club is allowed to camp under the trees by the creek.  It is basic but has 2 drop toilets. Accessible for Campers and Medium sized caravans.

 Come for the  long weekend or just as a day trip.

 Friday 30th May: working bee to clear up the track and collect firewood and prepare for the weekend.  Meet at the  Mogumber (hub) tavern for those who are new at 12 noon. Those who know can make their own way in.

Saturday 31st May: A relaxed day with some show and tell sessions chance to get together for socially, ask questions and hone your driving skills and/or campfire cooking skills. 

Come and set up your tent / camper / caravan or swag and try out anything new you have been wanting to give a go but have not been able to. There will be lots of experienced travellers about to help if you want it. Bring some tools and do that job you have been wanting to do for ages or help someone else with their DIY task.  

 Sunday 1st June - Gymkhana Day, there will be some fun courses and activities set out to you to participate in. And Yes, it is as competitive as you want to make it but all in name of fun. It's not about the fastest and mud will be totally optional but depending on conditions) maybe awarded extra points!

Monday 2nd June - Pack up and head home at your own leisure.

Conditions and Difficulty 

Normally easy but Conditions are seasonally dependent entry into to the camp area is across a creek with loose logs as the bridge. Camping is on grass area.

Access not suitable for large caravans.

Phone coverage is extremely Poor.

Dogs: This is a Working farm and there is stock nearby and farm dogs that wander down to visit, your dogs are welcome but should well behaved and kept on a leash.
